Our client

In addition to organizing the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, Tomorrowland Brazil, CORE, the winter edition in Alpe d’Huez (France), and various (inter)national events, Tomorrowland also operates a diverse range of ventures. These include its own media house (One World Radio), music label (Tomorrowland Music), Artist Management, restaurant (MESA), fashion label (TML), DJ Academy, Metaverse, and fiction books, among others.

Function

The Legal Counsel at WeAreOneWorld, the company behind Tomorrowland, plays a key role at the heart of the business. This position offers a dynamic, innovative, and challenging work environment that enables the application and further development of legal expertise, both within the entertainment industry and beyond.

  • You contribute to the realization of the company’s strategic and operational objectives with pragmatic and solution-oriented advice and closely monitor the implementation of your advice.
  • You stay up-to-date on laws and regulations relevant to the company’s operations and proactively advise on the impact of new rules.
  • You support both the company’s day-to-day activities and new projects on a national and international level. All areas of law may potentially come into play.
  • You engage in legal risk management, systematically, process-oriented and qualitatively analyzing the company’s (new) activities from a legal perspective.
  • You seek workable solutions that optimally protect the company’s interests.
  • You manage a range of legal templates tailored to the company’s needs.
  • You negotiate and draft various (B2B and B2C) contracts and documents tailored to the company’s needs in close collaboration with business partners.
  • You oversee contract management, ensuring agreements are created, reviewed and executed effectively.
  • You act as an internal and external point of contact for all legal inquiries.
  • You independently manage specific cases as a member of the legal team.
  • You report to the Head of Legal.

Profile

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Law.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience.
  • You are a native Dutch speaker and have a strong command of French and English.
  • You have a broad legal interest and specific expertise in commercial and contract law (B2B and B2C). Knowledge of IP, media, and entertainment law is a plus.
  • You are capable of thinking beyond the purely legal framework. You have a business-oriented mindset and a certain pragmatism. You can adapt flexibly to changing situations.
  • You act with diplomacy, integrity and confidentiality.
  • You connect naturally and appreciate quick and efficient communication.
  • You work in a structured and precise manner.
  • You possess analytical skills and drafting competencies for preparing documents (advice, contracts, etc.).
  • You proactively provide advice and dive into concrete cases.
  • Experience in the entertainment sector is an asset.
