Decathlon | Commercial Legal Counsel

Our client

Decathlon Belgium is the market leader in the mass distribution of sporting and leisure items. Across its 38 stores, e-commerce activities, and a team of 3,000 employees, the company upholds Decathlon’s core values daily: making the pleasure and benefits of sport accessible to as many people as possible.

As a dynamic company, Decathlon Belgium continuously reinvents itself through new projects that emerge daily, including the recent Marketplace initiative, which originated in Belgium and was later developed in collaboration with other European countries.

Decathlon’s Marketplace initiative is an online platform that enables third-party sellers to offer their products alongside Decathlon’s own range, thereby expanding the variety of sports equipment, apparel, and accessories available to customers.

For more than 40 years, Decathlon’s global project has thrived on a strong corporate culture built around two fundamental values: vitality and responsibility. This distinctive culture fosters professional growth, encouraging employees to work independently while receiving guidance marked by high standards and kindness, enabling them to reach their full potential while staying true to themselves.

For its Marketplace initiative, Decathlon is looking for a legal in-house counsel to join the team.
