Transact Risk Partners offers tailored W&I solutions primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) within the Benelux, France, DACH, CEE, and Singapore. They understand that M&A processes, conventions, and transaction risks differ from region to region, and their underwriting approach reflects this.
Beschrijving
As an M&A Expert at Transact Risk Partners, you will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting a portfolio of M&A transactions, ensuring that its clients receive the most comprehensive and tailored solutions. Your role will involve close collaboration with brokers, legal advisors, and clients to underwrite M&A transactions, assess transaction related risks, continue to develop the W&I product and Transact brand, and manage claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough due diligence and risk assessment for M&A transactions on a 360° view basis (i.e. including from a legal, financial and tax perspective).
- Prepare quotes and pricing indications for brokers/clients interested in insuring M&A transactions
- Underwrite W&I policies, ensuring terms are competitive and meet clients’ needs.
- Negotiate policy terms and conditions with commercially and legally sophisticated brokers, advisors and clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, lawyers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of M&A insurance policies.
- Provide expert advice and support to clients and internal teams regarding transactional insurance solutions.
- Stay updated on market trends, developments, and industry best practices.
- Participate in business development activities to promote Transact Risk Partners’ services.
Profiel
We are looking for a lawyer or M&A professional wanting to make the move to a more commercial and entrepreneurial environment. Some of the required skills are:
- Up to 6 years of relevant working experience, preferably at an international law firm, Big 4, or similar, in the Netherlands or Belgium.
- Proficient in drafting legal and commercial documents, with the ability to negotiate with commercially and legally sophisticated advisors and clients. No previous insurance or underwriting experience is required.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent command of both Dutch and English.
- Enthusiastic and committed team player who can challenge other team members and work collaboratively in a dynamic and skilled work environment.
